Stage your home properly
Staging a home or condo is always a good idea, particularly when buyers have a lot of properties to choose from. Proper staging isn't just about moving furniture around or bringing it in; it's about eliminating clutter, repainting walls, polishing floors, and accentuating a home's assets wherever possible.
Recently, a client of Brendon’s wanted to sell a two-bedroom condo. The seller expected he would get about $675,000. But with old carpets, oversized furniture that crowded the rooms, and heavy drapes, the condo didn’t show well. Brendon convinced the client to hire a professional stager, who pulled up the carpets, repaired and polished the hardwood floors, painted the interior and got rid of the drapes to showcase the beautiful view. The seller invested $10,000 to properly stage the property — and ended up getting nearly $100,000 more for his home than he had expected.
