Imagine the buyer’s perspective

Brendon DeSimone with Heidi and Andy Pennell

When you've lived in your home for a while, it's difficult to see it from an outsider's perspective. But that's exactly what you should do in order to make your property as appealing to potential buyers as possible.

There are many things sellers can do to make their homes more attractive to buyers. For example, Heidi and Andy Pennell needed to get the maximum price for their beautiful condo in order to buy a single-family house. Heidi and Andy were used to the fact that the master bedroom's closet was in the hallway. But Brendon, taking the viewpoint of a potential buyer, believed the closet's location might be seen as inconvenient.

Brendon advised Heidi and Andy to have a closet built in the master bedroom to increase the condo's appeal. Brendon quickly found a skilled carpenter who designed and built the closet within days. The closet turned out beautifully. Heidi and Andy’s condo received 17 offers and sold for well above the asking price.
